How to write about us page

Let’s face it, most corporate About Us pages are boring. They tend to attract the least traffic of a given website. If that’s you, don’t worry you’re not alone, and here’s how to fix it.

1-It’s rarely about you, always about them

Most readers have a short attention span, that’s why the first few lines should be about a solution to the readers’ goals. Start with how you help. This way, if the visitor only read the first two lines you’re certain you’ve made an impact.

If you take one thing from this post it’s to make sure you clearly highlight the direct benefits they will receive from working with you

2- Text should only be 50% of the entire page

No matter how educated and senior your audience is, they won’t read large paragraphs stuck together to understand how you can help them.

Increase spaces, visuals, and add bullet points.

3- Help them relate, tell your story

Every business was once a human with an idea, that goes for both you and your client. Tell your story, show the dreams behind the business, and help potential clients see themselves in you. That’s the winning sauce for any business.

4- Highlight your credentials

It’s also human nature to seek official proof of experience and success. While I don’t recommend starting with this, it’s an important addition to the lower half of your page, If a visitor reaches the third section of the page then you’ve already captured their attention, start fostering a deeper connection by showing them that you are an authority in your industry.

5-Must include several CTA buttons

Great! Your first paragraph sold me on your service, don’t leave me hanging until I scroll down to the end of the page. Seal the deal from the first paragraph with a call-to-action button I can’t refuse: “Start Your Free Trial” or “Try Our Demo” or even “Check our Services”

Now repeat with every section on your page.
